What do you make of these comments from Jorge Masvidal?
Jorge Masvidal, “Gamebred” as he’s known, intends to return to the octagon in April. He spoke on Jake Shields’ podcast about his plans for a UFC comeback. The fighter’s tone was resolute, even though uncertainty lingered: who will face him in this first step back into the cage? Masvidal expects an opponent soon – perhaps by December. A Miami card is in his sights.
“I will be back. April next year in the UFC, yes sir.” Masvidal stated on Jake Shields’ ‘Fight Back’ podcast. “We don’t have an opponent yet. Hopefully, by December, we will get the opponent. [I’ll be back] in April, [on] the Miami card.”
So far, the UFC hasn’t announced plans for a fight in Miami next spring. But, the promotion has made trips to the city early in both 2023 and 2024. This implies the return of “The Ultimate Fighter” is likely.
